Plants and animals both are living as well as the most important part of the ecosystem. We all know that plants prepare food (carbohydrates) through photosynthesis process and all animals are dependent on plants for food and energy for being alive. Instead of being both living there are many difference between plants and animals.

Brief Description of Plants or Plant Kingdom
Plants are living things, made up of cells. They need air, water, sunlight and soil to live. They can’t move from one place to another but their leaves move towards sunlight and roots towards soil to collect water and minerals.
Structure of Plant
A plant is composed of mainly three parts Root, stem and leaf.
Root –
Help to anchor the plant in the soil so it doesn’t fall.Root contains root hairs that help in water and minerals collection.
Stem / Shoot –
Stem is the upper part of the plant which is above the soil. Main function of stem is spreading out and bearing leaves. Also it transport food, water and minerals form one part to another part of plant.
Leaf –
Leaf develops from nodes of stem. Main function of leaf is carrying out photosynthesis and making organic food.
Animal / Animal Kingdom
This kingdom is characterised by heterotrophic eukaryotic organisms that are multicellular and their cells lack cell walls. They directly or indirectly depend on plants for food. They digest their food in an internal cavity and store food reserves as glycogen or fat. Their mode of nutrition is holozoic – by ingestion of food. They follow a definite growth pattern and grow into adults that have a definite shape and size. Higher forms show elaborate sensory and neuromotor mechanisms. Most of them are capable of locomotion.

What is the difference between plant cell and animal cell
Plant cells and animal cells also differ significantly from each other. Both morphologically and internally they are different. Although many organelles are common for both plants and animals. Here are some differences between plant cell and animal cell.

Difference between plant tissue and animal tissue
As the cells differ, it is an obvious fact that tissues will also differ from each other in plant and animals. The main reason for this difference is that tissue is made up of cells. Here are some basic differences between plant tissue and animal tissue.
